I would guess Hammonds email is something like firstname.lastname@bbc.co.uk (Replace the first & last name with Richard Hammond). All our TV station stars here in Ireland have regular addresses like this....unless you've worked in a TV station, & in my case RTE, you probably would never know this images/smilies/smile.gif

I guess you could try Clarkson with the same thing images/smilies/mrgreen.gif

btw the email spam filter on these big stars will be up a notch or two & typically a PA or one of their team will vet the mail for them so as they don't have to trawl through all the junk that does get through.

More or less all BBC e-mail addresses are firstname.lastname@bbc.co.uk.

But as october said - that doesn't mean the big stars will answer their own - or if they do check them on a regular basis.

Richard Hammond is now the most top man on television. Such a nice gesture by him there.

Hi upyourego,
I wouldn't post your email address in the forums. I have edited my last post to reflect this. I don't want Hammond to get any extra junk mail as a result of that post. The email harvesters that trawl sites like this will lap it up & then you get a ton more of spam. Take it out of your sig too.

Just a little friendly advice my friend....

& That goes for everyone else here too!

The BBC spam filters are pretty good to be honest - but thanks for thinking of me images/smilies/smile.gif I probably should remove it just because I don't particularly want e-mails not to do with work at that addy - just used it to highlight a point.

@ upyourego

I understand your position on that one....but spam is spam. Don't invite it into your inbox because most often it will invite itself & you'll wonder 'how did that happen?' I deleted your email address from my previous quote.

Never EVER post your REAL email address on a forum, even one as fab as this one. The harvesters don't care. If you're behind a corporate firewall etc then you should be OK to a certain extent in terms of spam being blocked etc. But if the email address you post is your own PRIVATE email address then you did it to yourself.

DON'T DO IT!

I sound like James now....sorry.... images/smilies/oops.gif
