Default Hammond's Jacket

That's a damn nice jacket he was wearing when they were chopping the roof off that Espace. Who makes it and where can I get one??

all signs point to being a cheap dianese ripoff made by indentured belgians on the mean streets of Hong Kong.

Isn't there a Dainese store in Manchester?

Well, did some research. Turns out that that's a textile motor jacket made by, obviously, Dainese. And it also turns out that it's much cheaper than I thought it would be and I may have to make a purchase sometime soon.

Now, how do you pronounce it? It's italian, non? So maybe "Day-ne-seh"? Or is it just "Day-neice"?

In my head I read it as "Day-eye-nay-zee". For some reason.

Hehe, I've also noticed that shot in the film.
In this jacket and with that hair style he looks like some 90's rock bike rider, cool. 8)

Yup - I too have one of their back protectors, but for snowboarding. Definately already helped protect me from a number of bruises I could've received in one day... wasn't going to bother but then one day the slopes became a combination of rocks (where snow had melted) and ice. For some reason we still went up... and down... images/smilies/biggrin.gif
The Morning session hurt quite badly (yeah, I'm a wuss) so during lunch me and a mate went and bought a back protector each. Unfortunately just ended up hurting myself in other places! images/smilies/smile.gif

Hammond also has the full Dainese riding getup. He wore it during the Roadtest Russian Roulette episode. And he probably wears the brand cuz he's secretly in love with Valentino Rossi images/smilies/lol.gif .

Well he did call him a "genius" when JC mentioned him in the TG awards.
Maybe we should check Top Gayer for some clues images/smilies/wink.gif

I have a Joe Rocket leather jacket. I forget which one, but it cost me $400. If there was a Dainese (It's prounounced Die-Neh-Seh, but I'm not sure because it could be in a different dialect) store in my neighborhood, I would've gotten one from them.

Belgians? Come on... Give me a break... There is a higher concentration of real, authentic Ralph Laurens, and Zegnas, and Guccis, and what have you, in Belgium than anywhere in the world... They are too rich to try make a quick buck with selling fakes... images/smilies/sad.gif
