Default Hamster - National Treasure?

Was browsing over the Telegraphs site today, and noticed an article on 'national treasures'. At the end of the article it includes a list of the next Elton Johns, included in that list is Richard Hammond!
Quote:
Richard Hammond - just a Top Gear presenter until he had a terrible, high speed accident, literally bounced back, blaming no-one but himself. Even those who wouldn't know their Skoda from their Subaru, smile whenever he appears on screen.
So, to the English members of the site, is Hammond one of your national treasures? And to the rest of us, would you put Hamster on the same level of other British products like Elton John and the Beatles.

Certainly not yet, but I do think his positive attitude towards life and the way he got back on his feet so quickly after such a big accident and just got back on with things with no fuss has endeared him to a lot of people.

National treasure? No. But if he continues to be a familiar face on TV then maybe one day.

...

I hope so anyway. images/smilies/tongue.gif

That list includes Chris Evans. Consequently it can not be taken seriously at all. I do think it's unfair to include Richard in a list with that wanker.

He is not one yet and I find it unlikely that he will achieve that status. Stranger things have happened.

No way, he's just a copy-cat of Clarkson in personality and reviews.

And he's short too.
