Not only he makes 1 mil p. being a presenter, he also writes for 3 newspapers & Top Gear magazine, releases a new motoring video every year which sells (i think) for 500k-1m copies or more, he's shopping new books almost every year & hosts a range of extra tv-shows & documentaries. I think all of it adds up to much much more than 1 mil p.

You've got to be joking, why exactly does a TV presenter deserve well in excess of AU$2M per year?

It ain't unheard of when it comes to the TV here - Jonathan Ross (aka Wossy) currently has a BBC contract worth £4.5mil a year.

thats the way the world works son, better get used to it.

all the richest men and women in the world are so because their jobs/venture/whatever are terribly self centered. hedge fund bankers for example work incredibly hard...but theyre only doing it for themselves and a few others. their expense is a stressful way of life, they earn lots, but equally have the potential to be completely ruined

at least with the media the big pita is being in the public eye all the time and again one slip up like calling a black man you no what or getting caught with half a bag of coke up your nose and your ruined.

whereas men and women who devote their time to saving people, rescuing people and furthering the human race get paid a lot less

its all about risk really..... those jobs have a higher risk of losing it all. so while they still got it, they get paid lots
