Rep Power: 0 ![]() | ... I mean I have 2 cars, but I see them as functional and fairly mundane. My brother-in-law watches Top Gear and constantly drones on about how good it is. I figured it was symptomatic of his status as a middle aged bore. I mean...a show that includes Clarkson and is centered around cars must surely be doubly crap. Then, while channel surfing one night my wife and I stumbled across the episode where the chaps went to America. They bought cars in the US with the aim of getting from Miami to New Orleans, with challenges along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed the show. However my narrow minded attitude persisted. I assumed it was a one-off, until again I strayed by an episode on caravaning. It represented my thoughts on caravaning perfectly. I was laughing so much I may have embarassed myself in my trousers. At this point the penny dropped. I loved Top Gear (please don't tell my brother-in-law). Are there any more converts out there? I am now downloading the Polar Challenge. I hope to watch it this evening with my wife. I would really appreciate anyone recommending further episodes to download. |

| All the car vs public transportation episodes will go along nicely with the ones you seem to already like. I don't know the season and episode numbers for certain off the top of my head, if someone else doesn't post them, I'll post them later.

| If u are downloading the Polar Challange watch it as soon as it's note, it is absolutely epic and i know i sound like Clarkson but it really is briliant, they did one of the hardest things in the world in their cocking about style and they really got there, mostly drunk and like everyone said above download all the episodes, ok some are better then the others but all of them have that Top Gear spirit that we love.

I.E. people who don't actually listen to what hes saying and or people who cant take a joke. |

| I'm not Moe | A lot of the more recent episodes aren't about cars at all. So you'd enjoy those. |

| I would personally advise [09.06], with their home-made limos. Hilarious outcomes. Other than that, yes, all of them. as well.

One is Rolls/Veyron/tiny peel microcar in an office. The other is an Africa special. Where Richard meets his new best friend...his car. Both very good episodes imho. |
