I signed up for road test Russian roulette!

It's a seasonal holiday thing in Canada: volunteers drive drunken motorists home.

http://www.operationnezrouge.com/

Operation Red Nose is a unique program dedicated against drinking and driving. Essentially, it is a volunteer driving service provided during the Christmas Holiday Season to all drivers who have been drinking or who do not feel fit to drive their own vehicle back home. It is an original and free way of getting a safe ride in our own vehicle without driving it!

I don't get to volunteer that much. It should be interesting.

They should put in one of those dividers that separates the front seats from the back, like in cop cars. I wouldn't feel safe if a passenger could interfere with me driving.

That'd be great if you picked up a good lookin' lady and got a lil action while driving her home. I wish you luck.

Sounds like fun, they should implement that in various places in America as well. Keep us posted and hope you score a Lambo.

Sorry to disapoint you folks, but here's how my evening went:

I got at the Nez-rouge call center at 21h, situated in the Montreal Olympic stadium.

There I learnt that it's best to sign up in groups of three: chauffer, escort (person who pwns a car) and assistant (who handles comm.) I applied for a chauffer and I was one too many. I waited for an "escort" sat in the cafeteria waiting for 2 hours with a whole bunch of french canadians (I was the only brown person there), drinking free coffee, eating free muffins, free hot dogs. etc, got fed up and full.

So I took the bus home, than decided at the last minute to stop at a local karaoke bar, got drunk, tried to sing some Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus and Cake, danced with a waitress, met to 43 year old from Chili and now I just got back home.

I shoulve asked for two birks to come and pick me up.....

I was so pissed to find out a guy in Scranton started doing it. I had the idea after I had seen the episode 2 years ago but was never able to get by the insurance issues of driving someone else's car.

Oh well... if he becomes a millionaire I'll just steal some of his stuff.
