Default In Competition with New Brainiac

I like Brainiac a lot. Why has some numpty decided to air new episodes of Brainiac against Top Gear? Surely Top Gear watchers are their main audience, and no one is going to swap Top Gear for Brainiac? I'm going to have to record it, argh...

^but he was on Top Gear aswell! You would have got your favourite motoring programme in the world and they would have got Richard if everyone had watched Top Gear.

But I hate been told to go watch TV in another room, its always me that has to go. images/smilies/mad.gif

Has Brainiac started showing again? I enjoy the show myself (although only through torrents), but it's terrible trying to find listings for the show to figure out when it's supposed to be on or not. I'm guessing since it was brought up as a concern with conflicting with TopGear it's either started already, or will be starting in the fall, and conflict with TopGear then.

well the G4 episodes are roughly half of the online episodes. The online episodes (without commercials) are about 44 minutes. G4 splits them into two 30 minute shows, which breaks up the flow of the show (I think). Also they change the music because Comcast is too cheap to get the rights to the music. I don't really know if the G4 ones are missing parts of episodes, because I haven't really watched many of the G4 episodes.

Who exactly thought that was a good idea? Its stupid because in my house Top Gear wins everytime (as it should) but i like both, I sky + Brainiac but i never get around to watching it afterwards, why did Sky have to do this?

I had to Sky+ them both, got to watch TG though (SWMBO enjoys it as well, in fact her whole office of girls watch it every week!), we did however have to watch Braniacs straight after........ Oh well, not too bad.......

My 5 year old loves John Tickle on Brainiac ever since he got stuck in the swinning pool full of custard. Great show, with QI, TG and FG my four favorites.

Hmm, if they can get the girls dressed in clubwear that blow things up at the end of Brainiac to appear on Top Gear... images/smilies/dance.gif

You can't get enough of Richard Hammond it seems, but still I'd watch TG first time and see when Brainiac is repeated during the week.
