Default James May, Heat Magazine's "Weird Crush" of 2007

From telegraph.co.uk :

Quote:
Congratulations to Motoring columnist and BBC Top Gear presenter James May, who has won the coveted annual Heat magazine "Weird crush" award.

"Believe it or not, this man is your number one weird crush!" gasps Heat, arbiter of good taste and sound judgment. In the grand final, May was up against comedy writer Stephen Merchant, chat-show host Matthew Wright and Strictly Come Dancing's Anton Du Beke.

The magazine has devoted three pages to May's victory this week, with such gems as "17 things you never knew about James May", including the crush-worthy fact that "He can fly planes!" It also says he owns a Bentley, which will come as a surprise to the Motoring reader who won his Bentley last month.

May's Top Gear co-presenter Richard Hammond won the award last year, which, Heat concludes, means that "readers like a man who's handy with his gear stick", nudge-nudge, wink-wink. When Heat asked May what the accolade meant to him, he replied: "It means I must be weird."
