I think James really knows his music. I loved his piece on a car (don't know what car it was) where he also said the Fender Stratocaster (another American icon) became 50 years old. (see my sig for my own 50th anniv Fender Strat)

Doubt it, as the program really only caters for young teenagers in the UK in terms of the music, and I can't find any older eps there.

However, if it doesn't show up there I'll UKNova it for you and try to stick it on a FTP.

EDIT - oh my heck, it's like watching a car crash in slow motion. not only is he not too hot on the "live" bit, he's no idea who any of the acts are! It is very funny.

Bands are rubbish as usual, though.

Is TOPT with live music? I noticed the vocals are live, but the instruments, I highly doubt they are live. Keyboards and guitars are connected with leads, but the drums for example are not miked.

The show's live, the presenting's done live...but it's fairly well-known that a a fair few bands who perform on the show just mime.

You're right, some of the backing instruments certainly won't be live, done through PCs etc.

Live music these days are a bit dodgy.. Those teeny poppy singers (well if that's what you can call them) can't sing for shit. Simon Cowell just sticks a bunch of names in a hat and picks it out and then give them a "record contract" in which someone else does all the work for them anyways... Good way to earn money... images/smilies/bangin.gif
