Knighthood is a bit too much for Jezza I reckon, I mean he got an honorary doctrate and he was pied in the face... What would happen if the Queen, bless her heart, knighted Clarky? World War III?

It's quite suprising really he hasn't got an OBE, MBE, KBE or any other BE.

I would dispute that, I think someone has got it wrong.
There is no mention of him being a CBE anywhere and he in isn't in any of the honour lists in the last 5 years.

As much as I like the Clarkson, he hasn't really done anything to merit a knighthood. Then again neither has Salman Rushdie . Writing a few columns about cars and doing Top Gear - no matter how much I love it - is not worth a knighthood.

Now a peerage for James May - that's a different story. images/smilies/wink.gif
