Default LPE power gift for James May

A friend of mine (who's also a member of this forum, but can't be arsed to do this himself) is an inventor/designer/developper of Lego pneumatic engines, which actually power real vehicles. He was also recently featured on Jalopnik, that's how cool this guy is. images/smilies/mrgreen.gif

And as we all know James May is practically a posterboy of everything engineering related, including kid stuff like Meccano and Lego, which is where this guy comes in. He would like to give Mr. May one of the engines as a thank you for all the kind work he has done in helping to keep our childhood toys live on for future generations.

Here is one information on one of his engines and some pics and vids:

The problem is... how do we get it delivered to Mr. May? I know there are some lurkers on these boards and some people have all the information required (we did deliver the helmet to the right bloke, didn't we?)

I think the court order prohibits that.

The court order prohibits me to contact his agency? What court order?

Sorry to be James May Anal (no, don't google that. Seriously, just don't!) but isn't that a V4 and not a V8?

In which case the builder should make a model of an old Saab turtle instead of a Mustang.

Probably lost in the translation. It's a joke implying that you're "stalking" James by posting on this board looking for him. I would contact his agency using the link provided and send them the images and videos you posted here. I think it's kind of cool myself.

It's a V8 alright, it just has pairs of pistons moving together. images/smilies/wink.gif
Quote:
We use only 4 valves in the engine, you might wonder why. It enables us a more balanced distribution of air to the paired cylinders and drastically reduces a lot of friction. Both are the key for such a smooth operation and for high rpms in a V8.

The helmet was sent to the Top Gear office at the BBC - no special address was used.

I think it should be sent unassembled. Just a picture of what it should look like and all the needed parts in a bag with no instructions of course. Should keep him busy for a while images/smilies/biggrin.gif

But seriously, send it to Arlington. Everything gets passed on.

That looks amazingly well balanced. Has your friend tried a boxer engine version of it yet? I think that would be most excellent old bean (for the last sentence, adopt posh English accent)
