After seeing the American special episode a few weeks ago, I'm absolutely in love with the idea of Top Gear going to America, or reviewing American cars. It doesn't matter if they bash America or compliment it, I just think it's so interesting when "the special relationship" is shown like this in popular culture.
Anyway, has Top Gear ever travelled to America in previous seasons? I know about the Prius being shot, which season is that from? And when Jeremy goes to Las Vegas, is that Top Gear too? |

There will be no Top Gear America for several reasons, most of which have already been covered in other threads but not the least of which is that the team, the studio and the presenters all live in the UK. Jeremy would rather pluck out his own eye with a grapefruit spoon than spend any amount of time the US.
They all hate our cars, and compared to the cars they get they should. The Prius being shot is not from Top Gear, but from one of Jeremy's videos - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly if I recall.

I can't remember what series it was (maybe 6?), but JC went to Detroit to review the Ford GT.

He raced the NSX at Laguna Seca too, don't forget. Jeremy in Vegas is from his latest solo video (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly). If you want there's also Jeremy Clarkson's Motorworld which has an ep done in Detroit... it's pretty fun/ny.
