I just hope he chooses cars worth watching. I mean, if he plans on bashing SUV's and Minivans because they can't corner, I'll probably be asleep by the end of the DVD. If he can gets his hands on the new GT500, Saleen S7TT, XLR-V, STS-V, Chrysler 300C SRT-8, etc. Then it may be worth staying awake for.
Why would he be bashing minivans and SUV's when we have loads of them in our country?

Who knows. I just don't want him to choose the worst cars in America and proceed to state the obvious about them, that's all.

By the name of the DVD I'm sure he'll feature some truly shocking cars and some awesome cars, pretty much like he does in most of his DVD's.

True, but if I am going to buy a DVD I want to watch it on my *gasp* television so I can sit on the couch, have a beer and enjoy the large picture. I don't mind watching .. umm... aquired-through-other-means videos on my computer but I want a DVD to play in my DVD player without my having to compress it down and re-encode it.

Using AnyDVD and DVDShrink combined together, you can turn the PAL Region 2 DVD into something you can watch on your DVD player provided your player supports DVD-R. I have bought many of Clarkson's DVDs through amazon.co.uk and I make US-watchable versions with this method.

Meh, all that converting is too much work, I just play it on my pc, which I have permanently hooked up to my tv through an S-VHS cable.

Also most of the no-name $25 DVD players imported from China can either be hacked to be region free or they already are. And they do PAL->NTSC conversion automatically.

And you will note that the sound on PAL stuff is high pitched and the runtime is shorter -- due to technicalities with how PAL film transfers are done, they speed up the film by 1/24th (if anyone cares to know I can explain further). PCs can undo that damage.

Like ESPNSTI mentioned, you can watch it on your TV and even have the sound routed through your stereo system.

I also run an S video cable from my video card (ATI Radeon) to my 32" TV.
I run RCA (I think they're called that) cables from my sound card to my stereo pre-amp.
Using DivX on the PC and my mouse as a remote control I watch all the TG/FG/WRC/F1 and other TV shows I've downloaded on my TV exclusively. images/smilies/wink.gif

No commercials, volume control, pause anytime I want and rewind when I miss something, all in the comfort of my couch with an ice cold beer. images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

By RCA i assume you mean standard phono/av leads (the red and white ones).

Yep, not sure where "RCA" came from but I've always heard them referred to that way. images/smilies/smile.gif

An RCA lead is the old style computer monitor leads (pre HDMI, S-VHS).

Here in the states they still refer to audio cables as RCA cables tho. Hmmmmm
I have the Monster Cable version like these only a couple years older.

That is a big cable. I used to have a similar 20ft one that was designed to go in a car.

Ahhh don't we all just love Clarkson DVD's images/smilies/biggrin.gif They're so crappily (<is that a word?) produced, use the same intro everytime and Clarkson isn't even dressed properly or anything but those DVD's rock! Look forward to this one.

*awaits the months after it when we will have angry American's making 100's of threads venting ANGER and VENGENCE images/smilies/lol.gif *

It'll be a long wait though........

It's almost surprising how long they have lasted - this is his 11th annual DVD and at 10 years images/smilies/eek.gif I do love them however - the only one I didn't like was Shootout as it had no destruction. Pleased to see the annual Christmas stocking filler is back this year images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

there has to be some space to the Ford GT, most certainly

also in the TG magazine JC is quite interested in "muscle" cars so I would expect a HUGE presence of these cars and why not? something should reach even TG rather than being limited to JC production team.

of course there is plenty to choose for the ugly images/smilies/smile.gif

waiting eagerly for this latest DVD... images/smilies/thumbsup.gif
