Default New location or not?

search yielded no results, has Top Gear found a new location or what? I would have thought it would have been discussed here if it had. Still at the old location?

Not sure to be honest. Last I heard, their lease was up and the airfield was being turned into a housing development.

Yeah, and since I heard that I have heard nothing. Maybe they extended the lease? Or THIS is the last series to be shot there?

Or maybe they're building an exact replica on the Isle of Man.

You know what I think? I think they should stay at Dunsfold for just the next series and move onto a new one for series 11 on. So it would be like 5 years at one place (Dunsfold) and another five years at another place. So Top Gear would be one of those legendary shows that runs for 10 years (or even more.) And BTW maybe a new location will add some freshness to Top Gear.

Umm, I don't think they really have any say in it, otherwise they'd just stay there forever.

That is terrible. I'm emotionally attached to that place, as is just about every other TG fan. I guess now when someone says "classic" TopGear the Dunsfold era will be what they are referring about. That means the original TG will be called "that old-ass TopGear". images/smilies/lol.gif I kid...

What would they need a replica for? They could just use the public roads! images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Man, that would be awesome.

I fear for the PowerLap Board.

It would be nice for TopGear to still care about cars and credibility to some degree.

After series 9 ended, in his column, Clarkson said, that they too much depend on celebrities & he'd like to see more car-show stuff. Maybe they've come up with smth new.

He may or may not. You have to take everything online with a grain of salt.

But we do indeed have some staff lurkers here. I've been in contact with a couple, some of which shared behind the scenes photos with me. images/smilies/smile.gif
