Always gets me excited when I see this, probably more so than any teaser trailer. I love the way he writes almost as much as Clarkson and May. Wish he had the time and the energy to write more.

Great entry.
For me, the best Series to date was 7 and I have high hopes for 13. It's Top Gear, so it can't be unlucky.

Last summer was a 6 episode series, so it's an improvement.
With that said, I can't think of a better way of kicking off the summer.

NICE!!!
Always good to hear from Andy. Also, there aren't nearly as many spoilers for this series as there was for previous ones, so it will be more of a surprise.

I love Andy's writings too. If I could only read one person's writings, I would be hard pressed to decide between Clarkson, May and Wilman.
I think he has finally come over to my way of thinking too. Quote:

It's sad that I'm already refreshing the site to see if "tomorrow's" post is up yet.

After you've discounted TG Stunt Man one assumes.

Not Wilman's but The Mole's, but still, the countdown continues...

It's all happening people. On the title of the next blog, I had a mental image of the three of them clubbing.

It has been stated on numerous occasions that even with budget cuts, it will be 14 new episodes this year - like every year. As has been pointed out, seven episodes for the summer run is one more than usual, so we might look at two seven-episode runs instead of one six, one eight as before - but still, i don't see the budget cut playing into it.
The BBC needs original programming (can't compete agaist the private-operated stations with reruns (except if you are CBS and the rerun is NCIS, then you'll burn the competition)) and you can't cut the year down to 51 weeks to save money. That means you got to cut costs per episode, not cut the number of episodes. That's why we'll get another pork sword-style episode at the end of the year.

I like this guy. The part about him being pessimistic about being a one trick pony and they'll get found out (I often wonder how long will it last?) were my fears too. To hear him admit it and say it still will still be good gives me confidence.
