Default November Issue Of Top Gear Magazine

http://www.phyrefile.com/thumb/2007/10/01/tgmag200711.jpg

November's issue of Top Gear magazine is on sale tomorrow (yeah, magazine publishers are weird) and it contains a DVD of the top 10 greatest car chases of all time. The writers have also posted their favorites on the Top Gear blog.

Looks like it'll be another great issue.

Live in the USA? You can buy a subscription to the magazine via Amazon.com. It's a bit spendy (around twice the price you'd pay in the UK), but hey, it's Top Gear!

Actually, I don't think $16 for an issue is much more (if not less!) than you can get it for in stores around here. images/smilies/sad.gif

Gotta tell my sis to bring me an issue along when she visits Glasgow tomorrow. (That'll be the DVD as well then! images/smilies/smile.gif )

Got mine this morning. Good season preview. Oddly, one cheap car challenge idea I had that was scoffed at a bit here (clue:crappy, from my motherland and the group had a big 'L' logo) they actually did!

The Jezza in a peel section looks hilarious.

No, I agree, but I think even buying it in the store is too expensive.

It's $10 an issue (US Dollars... or Canadian Dollars) at Borders Bookstores that I've been at in Kansas, Indiana, and Michigan. Do they price gouge in the West/East coasts?

AFAIK, we only get imports and it takes a while for them to get here.

Subscribing FTW!

I like the new format thingy... It gives everything a more rounded feel.

Just got the mag and DVD yesterday - the footage of Le Mans is absolutely mind blowing, I'd definitely watched that film before if I knew of that sequence! My favourite car chase's still the one in Bullitt, some of the other films were rather disappointing.

As an avid chase fan, I don't really agree with some of the choices. How can the original Gone In 60 Seconds and The Seven-ups be omitted?

Does the DVD contain the chases in their entirety? I'm guessing they will be cut since The Italian Job would be half an hour alone.

The chases are cut pretty short. Some are nearly 10 minutes like Bullitt but The Italian Job is only about 3 minutes.
