hehe. I just think providing a desktop background in one low resoultion is simply not good enough. How hard can it be to simply make the initial one in 1920x1440 and then decrease the resolution several times to provide more. In fact, just posting the highest possible resoultion would be fine by me - I believe that 'Stretch' is set by default anyway.
