Gives a nice shout out to Final Gear, and makes a huge spelling mistake but we'll forgive him that one......

Another great read - and b#gger me, Andy's given me hope about the US TG, never thought that would happen.
I'm always impressed by how well Andy, JC and the lads can sum up so neatly what it is that makes TG so special and brilliant. And respect to Viper, everyone behind-the-scenes of FinalGear, & the rest of our community for making this place deserving of Andy's acknowledgment.

So really I guess the "official" spellings are FinalGear.com and Final Gear, in that order.

Woohoo, thank you Andy!
He is so right about Gear, can't compare it, just like it. edit: maybe he meant presenterishness?

![]() The Brits are at least understandable, even if we don't understand some of the slang. You Aussies on the other hand can sometimes have a really thick accent.

Just had another thought:
"And (b) each show must acknowledge the other one exists, so they can take the piss out of each other." Given that two of the presenters of TGA have facial hair you know there's going to be some major piss-taking by Jeremy if they ever discuss it on the show, or do a joint venture, not to mention slagging the Aussies for giving the world nothing but crap beer and the rotary washing line!! Jeremy's views, not mine I hasten to add, although I can advise that it's not a good idea when entering Australia and the Immigration person asks if you have a criminal record to reply "Why? Is it still mandatory?"

Excellent; it's good to hear the progress of the Australian and US versions from Andy himself. And he's right, we can't watch these shows with the original and glorious Top Gear in mind. We need to watch the two offsprings for what they are, and not what they could/should be. But it's going to be nion impossible to not to draw any comparison.
And one big hooray for FinalGear/Final Gear for being acknowledge by Andy himself! |

He mentioned logging in in some of his blogs, so maybe he's a member. But we have yet to find out who... Any "suspicions"?
