so i guess the Pagani Zonda F is the fastest car ever around the track, cool but i wish they would be fair and also retest the Zonda S. because in the episode were they had the Murcielago and the Zonda S, the track was wet in some spots which is not good for the Zonda. then they put the Murcielago around the dry track admitting that the wet track idea was stupid. but they never gave the Zonda another chance.

the S2000, Z4 and Boxster aren't listed because the Stig wasn't the driver, Jeremy and the boys drove them.. only the Stig's times are posted, it's a rule lol.. but the Maserati MC12 was actually driven by the car's owner disguised as the Stig

No idea if this has been found out....but wikipedia has a full list of everything that has done a power lap around the Top Gear track. URL for it is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Gea...mes#Power_Laps . Sorry if its a repost, but I didn't have the will power to read through 7 pages to find out.

Been wondering about that one for some time now, maybe you guys can help:
Anyone know what happened with the laptime(s) of the Golf 5 GTI? The first time they tested it in 2004, they gave it a 1:33.7 (on the "hot hatch"-powerboard in series 05, ep.06). Then, during the 3-way test (series 06, ep.09, Astra VXR, Megane Sport, Golf GTI) it was up to a 1:35.1 (Clarkson said the 1:33.0 of the VXR was '2.1 seconds faster than the GTI'). I don't think they ever showed the 1:35.1-run, so where did they come up with that laptime? S. |
