Like all of you I have been looking forward to see the first episode of the new Top Gear season this sunday. As I only move to London this sunday, I won't have a tv set arranged yet. Is there any pub or other public place in London, where they show Top Gear? I would greatly appreciate any tip! I live close to canary wharf so that would be the best area, but of course I would "travel" to see it live
![]() Thanks for your help, its Top Gear Time again! |

Best bet is a posh Hotel near by I should imagine - is there football at the same time, if there is you will have trouble getting the channel you want (i.e. BBC2).

The other thing to do would be to watch it on iPlayer a couple hours afterwards, if you have PC / internet / an internet cafe nearby.

There is football on at the same time, so I doubt any pubs will be showing it. Not got a mates house you can go around and watch it with them?

You clearly have an internet connection - unless your in an internet cafe.
If you do have broadband you can watch through Zattoo - it carries BBC Two http://zattoo.com/ |

I have internet now and I have BBC II now, but as mentioned I'll move to London on sunday. So internet and TV aren't running by then.

I'd invite you round my gaff, but it's in a proper shit state and you might be a bit David Blaine. If you PM me I can tell you the pub I saw May in a few months ago. Dunno if it's his local, but he seemed pretty relaxed.
EDIT: Anyway Doc I thought you moved to London years ago

valentino_rosssi - ah sorry didn't read the first post properly - that's a bit of arse really
![]() Um... what about Curry's shop window - although sound could be a problem. Actually I agree with other posters - the posher venues would probably be your best bet - or if you're REALLY desperate just book yourself into a really cheap hotel for the night - should have a TV with BBC Two

True, but (depending on upload speeds, when the rip's up and how long the Beeb take to put it on iPlayer) either could be faster.
Doubt any of the Big Chains in the centre of town will, but my local in the suburbs certainly did, and a couple of the pubs near my uni did / does.

We usually have the rip out within a half hour. It shows up on iPlayer an hour after. So, it comes down to your download speeds and if you're inside the UK or not.

You should put off moving house till monday, that way you can see Top Gear and it gives you plenty of time to have TV/Internet ready for episode 2 of the new series
