Default Question regarding referance in Clarkson: The New Romantics

Hi, folks. images/smilies/smile.gif

Been off for some time now, but I sat watching The New Romantics just now, and for the second time, I sat wondering what Clarkson's 80s referance to "...Neil Kinnick(?) went down at the waterfront [...]" really meant.

If anyone would care to explain, I would be very happy. images/smilies/smile.gif

Posted this here cause it's really a Clarkson question, if the mods think it fits better in another forum, I am sorry. images/smilies/smile.gif
