Default Richard pulls pricey home u-turn

Quote:
Richard pulls pricey home u-turn

Richard Hammond has apparently been left facing a hefty bill after moving into his new home and then deciding he preferred the old one.

The Top Gear presenter, 38, stayed at his new rented house in Buckinghamshire for just 70 hours before he and his family realised how much they missed their rented farmhouse in Gloucestershire, reports the Daily Mirror.

Richard, whose u-turn could cost £40,000, said: "It took us only a couple of days to realise we were changing a lifestyle that suited us. It's an expensive lesson."

The star, who has two daughters Izzy and Willow with wife Mindy, added: "I got there first ready for the removal men. And as they started unloading, I began to wonder. Everything was smart, and rather posh and lovely, but could we fit in?

"When Mindy and the girls arrived, I thought 'This isn't right'."

Richard survived a 288mph crash on the hit BBC One show in 2006 and the jet-powered car in which he smashed was recently put up for sale.

Why do they have to always put that at the end. It was 2006. It is now 2008. GET OVER IT!

Yeah it seems really odd, none of the sentences above has anything to do with the crash... why do they have to mention it all the time? images/smilies/dry.gif

It's cos there are idiots who might not link the crash to the person yet might know of them both.

what's more wierd, to me anyways, is why guff like this keeps getting posted on this forum, christ, it's more heat gear than anything else.

I find it very distasteful to always tack that on.

Just in case people start saying "who is Richard Hammond"?

Remember, this news is likely read by more people then watch top gear.

Not true; more people watch Top Gear than live in the whole of Scotland.

Why say anything at all, then? I'm sure the bloke would prefer some privacy than 24/7 exposure.

No they aren't. Neither Lilleput's nor the articles. Topgear isn't on BBC1 for those who can't see it it.

lmao, let the media blame the hamster's decisions which were based on heart on his post-car-crash brain.

Why does he rent a home? This common over there, or is "rented" just a term used in a way I'm not familiar?
