Scalextric signs The Stig

You'll be able to relive the track from the show

NEWS: 30 January 2008 11:34 GMT - You'll soon be able to challenge The Stig in your living room thanks to a deal signed with the BBC and Scalextric.

The company famous for its slot-car racing tracks will be bringing Top Gear's "Powerlaps" to toy shop near you in march.

The set will come with the official challenging corners such as Hammerhead and Gambon as well as two special edition Stig hand throttles.

However rather than coming with a medium priced car, the set will come with a Ford GT and a Porsche 911 GT3R.

The set will be available in March and cost £100.

For the layout in the pictures in the link I think £100 is far too much. You can get other Scalextric sets cheaper where you could make the TG track layout if you wish.

Not what I imagined, you could just buy the bits of track yourself and make a decent one.

It's not even the TG test track layout either. And there's a red GT40 when Clarksons was Blue.
