Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Well first off, i just registered so hello all ![]() Now, i was just wondering if anybody here as any knowledge on this subject. I was watching top gear, and you may remember an episode where the three need to make a kit car from scratch, before the stig can get up to scotland. funny episode, but i was wondering is it really possible to get a full pack of EVERY part needed to make a kit car (excluding tools ofcourse), because while googling, all i have been able to find are sites telling me that to make a kit car you need to get all the parts from old cars. Now for someone with experience that would be ok, but for an absolute begginer with only an interest in cars, it would be easier to be able to purchase all the parts needed. Even jezza sed he had no training in the field, so is it really that easy? ps. does anyone know who they got their kit car from, i think they mentioned at some point but ive forgotten. | What I would like to know is whether the feature is believable or not. A kit like that would take hundreds of hours to build, but could you possibly assemble chassis, suspension, drivetrain or bodywork in the time it took the guys? Right now, I'm dreaming about building a MNR Vortx RT some day. Reasonable price, single donor car and a pretty promising final weight. | |

Rep Power: 15 ![]() | I'm sure it's not as easy as it may look, even with instructions and all parts provided. Problems always arise. It's almost a certainty. It's not something I would undertake if I never held a wrench (or spanner) before.
