Car: 79 Rabbit Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Fortunately, this time it was not caused by any of the Top Gear members. A Koenigsegg senior engineer along with one of the Top Gear staff went for a ride around their track in this 1000+ hp biodiesel fueld monster. They took a turn at over 120mph when "largest traffic cone known to man had been left on the inside of the corner; a six-foot high lump of orange plastic with a solid, square-edged, extremely heavy base. We hit it." But the funniest part of all this was "A muck-spreader had just passed through the field we landed in. As a result, and only because of this, we now smelled of shit." http://www.topgear.com/content/featu...ries/05/1.html ![]()

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | To be fair the original post is in another section of the forum (Automotive Discussion) and if, like me, you don't read every section then the occassional repost is pretty much certain.

There is no replacement for displacement. - Wolfgang Bernhard, Chief Operating Officer, Chrysler Group talking about the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it. - Motor Trend on the 2006 Dodge Viper Coupe, November 2005 |
