Default Top Gear in 10 years time...

Last of the Summer Wine?

Can't help spotting the similarities (i.e. 3 fellas 'cocking about')... Hammond might be a bit young tho!

TG studio in 10 years

Even have Clarkson, Hammond, May, and Top Gear Dog in the pic.

Haha! Very good! I like it. Mmmm the Emerald City, just as long as there aren't too many green cars on!
I would hope that the TG3 are still in the programme in 10 years. They will only be in their50's so not too old at all.
Can you imagine the cars though? We will probably have hover cars by then!

People always think or hope that in the future cars will gonna be jet engined space ships with styling of Wally 118 but history has shown that for this sort of stuff we'll going to wait a bit longer that we thought. 8)

TG in ten years? No longer in existence. I'd like it to be still on, but realistically... It's already nearly been pulled off air at least once recently, and I don't think it'll make it for another 10 years, unfortunately.

10 years? There won't be bloody petrol anymore. I will not believe Jezza doing a show on stupid electric cars... He'd rather die I think. So would I (to watch... rather kill myself). Plus, he is rich enough to retire and still have lots of good cars and still be a journalist part-time and drive supercars for a living... Pity though... The thought that TG might one day die off too...

I don't agree with giving a car more alcohol than I put into myself though. images/smilies/tongue.gif

It'll never happen. Policing will be too hard, safety will be impossible (most drivers car hardly think in 2 dimentions, forget about 3), and it's less effecient than staying on the ground.

You would need complex systems that allow for STOVL operation but are still compact enough to store in the garage, safe enough for all-weather operation and can double as a regular car. The energy costs, operating complexity, and engineering hurdles aside, the lawyers would keep anything like a flying car on the ground.

Who regulates them anyway? DMV or FAA?

"10 years? There won't be bloody petrol anymore."
Nonsense

Have you read this?
http://www.topgear.com/content/featu...ries/03/3.html

I think TG will last another 10 years just as it did in the past, it lasted full dacades, 80's and 90's, the show changed it's form through the time but it is still named Top Gear.

Well seeing BMW and Mercs are looking at trying to pull off clever alternate ways of sloppy stuff to power a car with I'm sure Top Gear over the next decade will focus on Clarkson getting more and more agitated that the only fast cars are for the racing circuit.

Or perhaps that's the remains of the nicotine?

Top Gear will last forever. if not only for the huge number of fans everywhere in the world. it would be foolish to pull it off the air... it's possibly the most famous of BBC's franchises... with the possible exception of H2G2...

although I guess in ten years time Jeremy will need a bionic backbone...
