Default Top Gear isn't nearly as good as it used to be, too much random adventure segments.

It's come to the point now where they do like 1 review a show, and the rest is filled with boring stupidity. The 1st episode of this season as a perfect example. 1 review of the XKR, and the rest was on ROAD RECONSTRUCTION of a random road. Who cares even slightly how fast they can build a road? Spend more time reviewing cars.

I think you might be missing the point...Top Gear isn't a car show, it's an automotive show.

Road construction is automotive related, do you want them to do an hour of car reviews? I don't...

I hear ya, once in a while I understand. Just think about like 2 years ago.

Do you want to see ROAD WORK for half the show? I don't.

One problem, you start to run out of suitable cars to review. Who wants to see the stig go round the track in a daewoo matiz, or is it a chevvy now? Unless its a small/normal car with something interesting about it there will be no review, they leave that to the magazines.

While I wish this was the truth....they managed just fine for every season up until the past 2.

you're right, season 8 and current are disappointing. I think that seasons 6,7 were great mixture of car reviews and stupidity, but that stupidity was worth seeing. Road construction, making van convertible or amphibias - it was all dull!

Exactly...it's just out of control now. Episode 1 had literally probably 7 minutes of an XKR review and the rest was garbage.

The worst thing is that TG is now so scripted. Clarkson's falling down pants during his "great" speech before roadworks - was it accident? I dont think so.

Ughhh yea, I know. And then the "comfortable as falling down stairs" line was used twice in the same episode. Not to mention the line painter rolling down the hill, etc. Just so fake.

But even members of the forum enjoy new TG.
I think we can do small survey:
What do you prefer?

as much as i hate to say this, i didn`t enjoy the last two seasons (8 and 9)... i like 6 and 7 the most, they were a perfect match. When I want to take a look at some episodes, i never go to season 8.

If you don't like it - don't watch it, (especially if you are not from the U.K. and are not paying for the BBC to make it).

As for Jeremy saying the same thing twice in one episode: well call the police! It's the end of the world isn't it? Consider the fact that he said both things several months apart.

Seriously, some of you were crying your eyes out when Top Gear wasn't on - the minute it returns some of you are bitching like a whore who has been short-changed.

The next person who claims a TG item is fake/staged gets called a twat in big red letters.

We like TG very much, love this show. We only miss old, proper TG.

PS: I pay for BBC prime and BBC news. What's more I pay for watching polish TV, which buys TG episodes, if you are so interested in this stuff images/smilies/wink.gif You should be happy that TG is known worldwide!
