I'm looking at Applause Store's schedule for shows at the moment.

The first show they have is Wednesday 18th June - that would be for a Sun 22nd June showing.

So I would go as far to say this is the first show - and not 15th June as previously reported.

Euro 2008 is being split 50/50 between ITV and the BBC - half will be on ITV 1 and the other half on BBC One.

According to a blog post by the head of BBC HD it doesn't sound like it will be HD this series - she says that BBC HD are in talks with the Top Gear team about converting eventually.

Well, Hammond said "next", so if it's not this one, it'll be the next one: http://www.finalgear.com/news/2008/0...r-to-be-in-hd/

Wow - maybe they have managed to get it all sorted in time but I have feeling it's more likely going to be the end of year series but would be pleased to be proved wrong.

I have a stunning 52" plasma screen at work hooked up to Freesat HD and would love to watch Top Gear on that.

Now obviously like we all hope, these things are all unconfirmed, and may not be true, but for those of you who read the horse and hound article carefully, the one that said there may only be 6 episodes. I haven't seen this bit mentioned yet, but there's an interesting and possibly crucial bit that comes just after it. It says:
While the BBC will not confirm any details other than the stunt will be aired in "one of six shows starting in late June", Mr Redvers said everyone who took part is invited to the BBC studios to film the programme on 9 July.
I was thinking does this mean that the episode for when we get to see Jeremy Clarkson being chased by the hunt will not be filmed until July 9th and we wont see any episodes until after that? I Hope Not!

No, it doesn't.

The episodes are filmed on the week that they are shown. If that episode is late in the series then the series will have already been on the air for several weeks.
