Default Top Gear rerun?

This Sunday's TG reruns the day after, and is awkwardly listed as a 60 min show on Sunday, and a 65 min show on Monday. How come? The "Have I Got News For You" reruns used to have an extra few minutes of material at one point, but I doubt they'd do that with TG. Seems the most logical explanation though. images/smilies/wacko.gif I guess I'll just watch both and see.

At least it has something to do with government. Maybe the government pays? images/smilies/mellow.gif

Well, the BBC is regulated by a group of governors appointed by the government. The network is financed by a TV license that anyone with TV in England pays - almost like a tax. It isn't technically owned by the government, but through the way it is regulated and financed, the government technically has complete control over it.

Jeesh, I'm a Canadian and I know this. You'd think you Brits should know this. images/smilies/rolleyes.gif images/smilies/tongue.gif images/smilies/lol.gif

My guess would be they're going to add some studio chat. A few extra jokes etc, as they did with HIGNFY (although that show is ONLY studio chat). Obviously nothing too important... I'll try to spot the differences and post them here.

No, Brits have like a TV tax that you have to pay if you own a TV or some bullshit. It pays for their BBC.

Yup, we pay for the license and we get a number of channels without adverts and with good programmes. Well worth it in my opinion.

We haveto pay for one of our channels (called NRK) no matter if we want to or not. We pay a license as long as you have a TV, so that TV station doesnt have any commercials, but they show a lot of boring stuff, coz' they have to. There are like rules on what to send and how much of what. Its kinda good after all... images/smilies/wink.gif

images/smilies/lol.gif Thats a very student thing to do. Good on you haz. images/smilies/wink.gif The law says that they are not allowed to enter your house without a clearance, wich they never bother to get. It's really unfair, I never use NRK as a protest, 'coz their car program suck ass. images/smilies/wink.gif
