Thats a 1970s 6.3-litre green, left-hand drive Mercedes CL 600 Grosser V8 (Long Wheel Base) - someone will know the exact model probably.

Thanks, I was thinking a Zil limo or something, didn't think of Merc. It must have been something for Top Gear he was filming for.

I can't quote a source, sorry, but I seem to recall reading a little while ago that the Grosser was a present from his wife. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, or back up this statement as you see fit and are able.
