The helmet has varied over time. AFAIK It always remained a Simpson though.

Sorry, I did a search with "stig" and "helmet" and nothing obvious came up. I guess a mod will delete this now, but thanks for the info. For some reason I kept thinking it was "Bell" or snell, even though I knew it was Simpson in the back of my head the whole time

The Stig has a helmet? I always assumed he reproduced by dividing, like amoebas?

Oh! You mean on his HEAD! Sorry!

Just make sure you try on the helmet first! Simpson helmets don't fit me for doodoo. In the end, I always end up with Arai or Bell.

The stig for the show uses the Diamondback but the stig for the mag and the Jeremy videos uses the Bandit

    I personally prefer the Bandit

I think the Diamondback is much cooler than Bandit.

Will you dress like Stig as well?

LOOOOOOOL that's a firesuit page dummy.

Always try the helmet before you buy. I had my eyes set on one of those carbon fiber jobs from HJC but my head just didn't fit right. Ended up with a Bell GP2 because I have a Tom Kristensen-shaped head apparently. Saved me money, anyway.

PS, if you're driving a Formula car, you need a chin spoiler. If you're just driving your road car, you need a wide visor.

I bet the Stig isn't Lewis Hamilton, otherwise he'd have one of these (and a hromed lambo):

Actually fewer formula car drivers are using that type of helmet these days because the "lay down" angles of the newer cars has gotten so extreme you virtually have your chin touching your chest already. In older style cars you might want it...but you definitely want to check.

Well, one of my Star Mazda friends says it helped him. Can't hurt. Mine has one, but I got it because of the larger visor.
