I was in the US for a long time, (some servers still show US ip addresses, i brought my computer over the Atlantic back to the UK). But TG magazine was fairly popular where I lived, though the importing was S-L-O-W; the magazines themselves were almost always three weeks late, and even a month late if you went for the original UK edition. But they went from the shelves very quickly, so I assume it sold well.

in Heathrow Airport!!

I had a 2 hour stopover there last week and looked all over my terminal for one, and couldnt find it. They might have been out though, I did find a Top Gear car review magazine with only reviews though.

Im going there again in 2 days, hopefully Ill have better luck...its a long flight back home!

Hey TGUKGLM,

It would be great if you had a Chilean edition of Top Gear magazine, the show has kind of an underground following here in Chile but its quite large, and I'm trying to help it get bigger! HaHa. I read somewhere before you were intrested in Chile, Argentina and Brazil.

Also some of the rumours of the guys coming to film here this year would help wth sales I'd imagine.

Cheers

I bought TG Magazine at Niece Intl. Airport for E9. Then saw it for L4 at my stopover at Hethrow.

I got ripped off.

you, sir, are correct

I can find the UK version of the mag here, it just takes effort, because there's no logic in who has it. Big supermarket : nope, huge car related shop : not a chance, obscure little magazine store : BINGO

I know this is an older post...but...

That does NOT explain the cost to us here in America.

Right now, on the site..it's $149 a year?

I'm assuming for that, James May delivers it in a flaming caravan??

(okay..I would pay $149 for that....)

What I've been doing is: have my bf in Norfolk buy me a copy each month...then mail it to me.

Even doing this, on a one to one basis...and the fact that for each copy it's rather labor intensive..

I only pay about 20% of the official cost to us here in America.

I do the same, my aunt is currently an American expatriot in London (uncle got a job transfer from NY to London, works for Unilever), and she buys it in the local shops in Little Venice and whenever she comes back to visit for the Jewish holidays she gives the recent one to me...

still have to pay her back for her troubles.

It's $10 here and always late--I think it has something to do with a mixture of the old exchange rate and the VAT...

Can i recommend Slovenia.
Yes i know it's a small country whit a small market, but you would believe how many Top gear fans are here.
And if you do consider bringing the TG mag here, just export the UK version.

As I've said before, and I know we have a local version but that's not enough

Oh, and isn't the thickness generated by commercials?
