Default Who's is it?

Was watching the British Leyland challenge and noticed a white Aston V8 soft top? I know Jezza's wife's got an Aston and he uses it sometimes. Could that be it?

It's the same one that he showed up in at the Avantime as fast as an Evo challenge, so possibly yes.

I thought so too but that slightly used Aston was a hard top.

He mentioned an Aston softtop in his test of the V12 Vantage in this months magazine, I would go and find it and post it on here in a scanned from but
1) My magazine is around 3m away and I don't have a scanner
2) I work for Top Gear magazine and would hate to see my wage be cut be me posting the article on here.(by virtue of people not buying the magazine

(the 2nd one isn't true, but i think it makes a valid point)

The one seen briefly in the Avantime thing was a "relaunched" Vantage which had come out not long before they filmed that, and Jeremy was reviewing it for his Times column. And it was white.

Mrs Clarkson's Aston is a white Vantage, but I don't know if it is a convertable or not.

Clarkson mentions the Aston on the Supercar Showdown DVD too, saying it's a convertible. Let's face it, it's not going to belong to any of the crew is it? images/smilies/biggrin.gif

She wouldn't, he drives it all the time because he likes it so much. He's said that many times. images/smilies/smile.gif

I thought about this, but why would he drive there? I can't imagine the 3 of them driving to the Mira test track separately in their own cars then changing to the 1970's cars to do the tests?

They often do drive to shoots separately and those 70's car may not have been up to the journey

And Brian Klein is the studio director so is he likely to have been there in his tragic taste in jumpers (and cars)?

Speaking of Brian, it's been a while since Jezza & Co made fun of him, I remember Jezza dedicated the whole review of the original Porsche Cayman to poke fun at Brian by buying one of those, the other occasion is in a scene from I think series 10 outtake, during the new segment when they were talking about the Maserati GT and they said it's ugly just to annoy Brian because he ordered one.

Looks like his taste(in cars at least) has improved by buying a AMV8, but wonder if his ownership of a AMV8 has something to do with the fact that Richard thought all Astons are now uncool...
