No.
Motorcycles and cars are very different. The relationship and the sensations you get from each one are completely different and each has it's pros and cons. Saying a Ariel Atom (which is an incredibly great car) offers the same sensation as a motorcycle is like saying a Maybach is so comfortable that is feels like a private plane.

Irrespective of what I think of cars vs bikes, the fact the magazine has a large article on Clarkson and his perspective simply shows a real need for them to gain Clarkson's approval, and elevates him as some authority.

It will certain polarise the more right-wing of each camp.

I really can't see why he hates bikes so much...I mean as a parent it's fine but I'm a petrol head, I don't have allot of love for bikes as well but I don't hate them at all, they look cool and if anyone wants to risk himself like that, who am I to tell em no? Plus I've been on a rather quick one my self (ZR6) and I can certainly understand what their on about....when that thing accelerates .....dear god I've never felt anything like that.
That said I do enjoy his hate for em, down right funny most of the time.

Maybe it's just Jeremy's lack of driving skills that puts him off bikes images/smilies/smile.gif

I think its cause he knows how ungainly he looks...a tall, fat, old man, dressed in leathers, bent over akwardly on a contraption that's simply to visceral for him. He did try, once, in Monaco. Can't remember if it was Top Gear or one of his productions.

Nope still slower in a straight line. And until you can bank an Atom into a corner on two wheels, it aint the same.

I love the Atom BTW, they are just completely different experiences and by your statement, I can tell you've never been on a motorcycle.

I knew Hammond had test driven a Sportster in the TopGear mag but i never knew he owned only one one, but two. And a Street Bob, a bike that i would have for sure gone for if i had not bought my Softail Standard a year earlier. Its a nice bike, and was the first Harley with a 6-Speed and a larger TC motor.
