Thats why Mugabe doesn't want exposure, he doesn't want the truth of the extent of just how much of a selfish arsehole he is. However its a bit late for that, everyone knows what he is like.

It's worth noting (especially to those who whinge about the license fee), that BBC News is bloody good at international news and has correspondents world wide. When a nations ruler behaves like an evil bastard, the BBC tends to hear about it and tell everyone.

The BBC is also, arguably, an extension of Britain. (Dictators would certainly think this way.) And Britain still has a lot of influence in Africa (compared to other nations), as quick look at a map of The Commonwealth. So that's another reason to keep the Beeb out, if you don't want people watching and happen to be Robert Mugabe.
