| Anybody wish that Tiff would join up with Top Gear again? I wish he would replace James because James is rather dull and boring and none of the presenters on Top Gear have a racing backround now. I know it isn't likely because there is probably some friction between them from when Jeremy's ego got a little too big but wouldn't it be great if he did? Edit: James is not bad and has a lot chemistry with the other presentors.

Car: 2000 Civic SiR Rep Power: 24 ![]() ![]() | James is not dull - his classical tastes provides the perfect balance between Jeremy's sumptuous ones and Hammond's squeaky little cute car tastes. Losing him would greatly affect the charisma of the show. I could care less that none of them have a racing background - who says you need to have raced in order to appreciate a car? Just because Tiff can powerslide like none other doesn't mean he's that great...I think the way the shows are set up now, and their respective presenters, is just perfect. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Some guy in here said it best, Top Gear are journalists/entertainers trying to be race drivers, while Fifth Gear are race drivers trying to be journalists/entertainers. That's why Tiff belongs at Fifth Gear for sure. On a forum about cars like this, I'm always surprised to see people prefer entertainment (TG) over real facts about cars and driving (FG). TG have cars jumping across caravans or motorbikes. That's funny. FG are trying to build a car that'll go 200mph... now that's _interesting_ ![]() Go FG! And Tiff, please don't leave ![]() |

| I actually like the current Top Gear presenters, but Tiff might make things more interesting, since he drives so well. | |

| The more I think about the more I agree with you guys now. I still don't like James so much but he does have a totally different view from Clarkson and Hammond. I still think it would be nice to have a racer on Top Gear but the presentors now are incredibly entertaining. Thanks for your opinions. ![]()

| I would be very interested in seeing Jeremy and Tiff bump heads. Jeremy has stage prescense while Tiff has years of racing experience. I wish they'd have a crossover show one day. Top Gear vs. Fifth Gear | |

Car: FD3S RX-7 Rep Power: 16 ![]() | i really like tiff. for me, his excitement and the way he presents sort of feels like he's a mate's dad taking me for a ride in his new car 8) but having said that, i really like interaction and banter the current top gear guys have, and wouldn't want to gamble that chemistry, even for tiff. last thing we want is a guy who just doesn't fit in (might as well have that fat bloke back). |

| Does anybody have footage from old Top Gear that had both Jeremy and Tiff in it? That would be most interesting. | |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | yeah it would be ChaoZ. The last episode with Tiff in and first one without him would be interesting too. |

| The first without him would be the first of the new format, I guess. I have 1 or 2 tapes with older Top Gear series, but the quality isn't that high and I don't have a way to encode it. Besides, a lot of the segments are available on P2P networks. | |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Noway - James is great presenter! I'm currently watching season 1 and i really miss James there... Well about tiff - i didn't watched many 5th gear episodes, but what i have seen is mostly: "Yeah it's fantastic car bla bla bla but it has one or two minuses" Thats it :/ Well don't be mad about it on me, maybe i have seen too less episodes, but... TG for me is the BEST show

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | This is how I see the FG vs. TG presenters debate: FG has better drivers, so I respect them. TG has funnier drivers, so I laugh. Back to the question - yes I wish Tiff was back on TG. |

| I love both shows and all of the presenters. IDK what you ppl are talking about, but Tiff is as interesting to watch as anyone else.... James is awsome, he is so old school and rides bikes.. ![]() I hope TG/FG stay the way they are right now. But if I had to choose between them...it would be hard.

| tiff doesn't match well for TG... all tiff has is driving abilities, TG is more on a show for non-gearheads as well so driving doesn't matter as much, its the ability to make people laugh
