This poll/thread is kinda useless and one sided. We all know what the answer is.

TG USA sucks. TG UK all the way. Its been discussed before.

it wasnt even a series they just took a few scenes from the UK top gear and aired them in north america to see how people would respond.

they are now making a brand new show with different presenters and everything now

I would like to see them use a nother name other then Top Gear. Use some of the format but not the name. Its not Top Gear without JC.

i would love american top gear, but i wouldn't give up british top gear for it.

I would imagine american tg would cover some cars that we actually get, instead of making me depressed for every day that goes by that we don't have the new focus rs.

Nothing can top the British Top Gear, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't want to see an American version of it. I can always get the BBC episodes online, its not like its being replaced. But I am curious to see how this attempt is going to work out. If its decent it will be awesome so I'll now have two sweet motoring programs to watch!

I'm willing to give it an even chance. I'm not going to go hating something I've never seen, that's just silly.

I would rather not see this show..but I will probably watch the pilot episode, since I watch Discovery Channel alot anyways. Might just been good to have on while Top Gear is down untill next year.

But the real Top Gear cannot be beat at all.

I am all for something else to become addicted to... I just hope these phuck sticks get it right and do not push the usual amount of HEAVY commercialism into it like they do every other crappy US show. BBC is protected from that sort of BS a bit, and it makes UK Top Gear head and shoulders better than anything else on TV... period.

I think they should call US Top Gear Final Gear, buy the domain name from Viper and then he can retire a happy man!

... LOL... j/k

I can see the opening lines now

" tonight on top gear, Funkmaster Flex takes on the corner in a Jeep SRT8, Lindsy Lohan gets in a jam on our track (car flipping out of control) and GMs beautiful interiors where do they get the quality products from"

They won't have celebrity or power laps. They'll have celebrity and power 1/4 miles and skid-pan measurements.

"That settles it! The viper is the greatest car ever made!"
