fuck funkmaster flex, I hate that motherfucker.. he is so annoying, always shouting trying to make what he says exciting. you'll probably see a rapper cruising around the track with the speakers blasting off images/smilies/lol.gif or a drive by if he's hardcore. I just hope it won't be like the shows on SPEED tv.. "the charger handles like a le mans car, i can get everything from this car... " images/smilies/sad.gif

I think we all like the original UK Top Gear because Jeremy Clarkson is in it.

If American Top Gear is going to be as honest and blunt as the UK version, then I'm all for it. If it's going to be those lame Speed TV review shows where they kiss ass to every manufacturer, then I'm against it. The UK Top Gear can be honest and blunt because they don't rely on advertising dollars. The American Top Gear will be yet another show that can't voice criticism on cars.

I will give American Top Gear a chance, but UK Top Gear will ALWAYS come first to me and I will still download UK episodes with child-like enthusiasm.

Let's hope the American version acknowledges the original.

American Top Gear looks promising, but we're cynical bastards anyway. Still, it'll be better than other American motoring shows that actually deal with new cars: I saw an episode of Motorweek and it wasn't even on the level of 10-year old Top Gear in terms of interest. at first thought i would think yes! but then i think of the american version of Iron Chef and the short lived "Coupling." It would be a wasteful exercise. English snarky humor and sarcasm is an aquired taste that most Americans would not get. American car shows have their place for specs and straight up reviews . besides, if TG became popular in the US i would not be as cool as i am now........ images/smilies/lol.gif images/smilies/tongue.gif

Who in the hell is voting no? If the British version was actually playing on American telivision then I could see why you would vote no but it is not so stop voting no. Must be the uptight dumbasses who are voting no. Give it a chance. If it is good it will stay and if it is not it will fade away. It is as simple as that.

The WCC guys are members on another board I frequent, and even they don't like doing PMR. They don't even actually get to decide what they do to the car, MTV decides everything.

WCC actually does some amazing stuff, try looking up the 300C convertible they did.

Obviously nobody would want an American version with all American presenters, however, I'd love to see the Top Gear team do an episode reviewing American cars, would be quite a good laugh.

if the american top gear sticks around for a season..i think they should have a super special face-off episode between the two teams. have them race head to head or something..or have american stig face off against the british stig or some such.

Knowing that there would still be the original Top Gear, of course I'd like an American Top Gear. It's just double the Top Gear! And if its terrible, then don't watch it and continue watching the original as we have this whole time.
