Default www.supercars.net?

I love that site, It's simple and informative and have been using it before TopGear as we know it even existed....however, a few days ago it had a pic of the Stig in front of the CCX and its title was 'CCX on top' or something along the lines of that. This was just after the CCX got the fastest lap on the TG track. My question is, whats the relation between TG and supercars.net? (if anyone knows that is).

I don't think there would be any relation between them.

Supercars.net clearly love supercars.
The CCX is a supercar.
They give news on supercars.

Seems pretty simple to me.

Uh, none? I mean, what makes you think they have anything to do with each other?

The nature of the pic...why would they have a pic of the Stig in front of a CCX titled 'CCX on top' the very same week the Koenigsegg topped the TG powerboard?

Koenigsegg had a similar sounding picture on their website. Supercars.net could easily have asked permission to use it.

Fair enough...but they had already done a story on the CCX. So It's complete coincidence that the very same week it topped the board, supercars.net put their Photo Of The Day as the Stig in front of the CCX with the title 'CCX on top'?? Unlikely I think.

No, it wouldn't. The site reports on Supercars. The CCX lap was supercar news. End of story.

It's really not that big of a deal. Although your analytical thinking would probably be better suited in one of the "ZOMFG I KNOW WHO TEH STIG I$" threads.

i'm guessing one of the webmasters of supercars.net watches Top Gear and thought it'd be cool to put that pic up considering how Koenigsegg topped the list that week...

I remember discovering supercars.net back in '97 or '98. Back before they had the "pay-to-get-better-features" thing. I don't really like it anymore. leftlanenews.com and seriouswheels.com are my cup 'o tea.
