A four door Mercedes CLS convertible?!

So, hot on the heels of my last post about a strange car comes this monstrosity which I spied on Baker Street a couple of days ago (yes, it's taken me that long to figure out how to get the pictures of my wife's phone):

It appears to be a Mercedes CLS convertible with a monster grill. I for one have never seen anything like it. It's almost so ugly it's good, but only just.

Its just one of those roof covers from 1976.

^ I LOL'd at that, but you might be right. Looking at the roof it doesn't look like it's a cloth roof. It's more likely that it's just a hideous mod, following in the footsteps of cloth-covered roofs of some 70s/80s cars;

I remember seeing/hearing/vomiting at this car before, I just couldn't place my finger on it. So after Googling "Mercedes", "CLS", and "cow catcher", I came across this.

from the side without the soft top it looks decent. but that mug shot is AWFUL! id never be caught in that thing for 2 reasons. 1) its ugly as shiit and 2) im not rich enough to afford one images/smilies/biggrin.gif
