| All i can think of when i see a jag XF interior is "so much stuff likely to go wrong"... Unfortunately, i dont think they build cars nowadays to last more than 10 years. Can you imagine the condition one of those will be in in 2030? How the hell am i supposed to fix the several billion broken electric motors to spin my AC vents or raise my gear changer? Today i can just go to the junkyard and get parts, i cant imagine a complex computer mounted in the dash controlling it all will fare so well in that environment.

| ^ I don't know why you're being so down on the XF's electrics. Jaguar uses Bosch electrics now, the same as BMW and Audi, and those don't break. That's one of the good changes Ford made when they took over Jaguar.

You have probably heard of Denso as they make most of the electronics in Lexus and Toyota cars too. Also if the gear changer knob is anything like the terrain response knob in the Range Rover Sport you can turn it when it is flush with the console it is just easier when it is raised up. I didn't try to turn the knob when it was down but I bet you can. Most luxury cars made today are filled with electronics that may or may not work 20 years down the road so that is just par for the course. People seem to think that electric motors are just breaking all the time but I must say over the past few years most of the cars my family or I have owned have not had a single electric motor burn out and many of them have over 150,000 miles on them. EDIT: Link to rest of photos in the other thread. http://forums.finalgear.com/general-...86/#post670183 Last edited by British_Rover; April 12th, 2008 at 09:10 PM..

| Lexus? Oh shi- | ^ I have a lot of Denso electrics in my car and none of them have given me any trouble so far. The keyless system on my dad's Merc has sent him to the dealership twice, whereas I've never had a hiccup with my Denso system. The XF does have almost too many electrics though... the rotating vents and rising tranny thing are pointless, gimmicky and will probably go wrong at some point even if made by Denso (which Toyota wholly owns incidentally). |

| Gulf Livery Rules | Can we get pics of that black one too? I kind of don't like the light silver colour on it. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() These are the only ones I have from the other thread and I agree that the XF looks better in the darker colors. I would love to see a XF in either Botanical Green ![]() Or Emerald Fire ![]() Only pictures I have been able to find in those colors have been XJs though.

Car: Different every week Rep Power: 19 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Another XF here today as we are in the middle of an audit. That is actually gray not gold but the sunlight does give it a goldish hue. I like the wheels better on this trim level much better then the base 19 inch wheels but they are still not very good. I also like the darker wood in this model vs the other ones I have seen. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ughh my phone really compresses photos a lot when emailing them. If someone wants the larger photos I can upload them when I get home. |

The owner won this E-Type in a Raffle for 200 dollars about two years ago. Not sure exactly what it is worth now but probably somewhere between 60,000 and 70,000 USD |
