| Well I couldn't visit Italy on holiday and NOT go there, could I? Modena itself is a rather big city, and isn't really as close to the Ferrari factory as they want you to think. Wasn't THAT interesting to be honest. The real factory is situated in an industrial estate in Maranello. 2 blocks from there they built a museum honoring all they achieved (they're Italians, what did you expect?). This museum had just about every F1 car since the 70s, and just about every roadcar aswell. I was kinda surprised to even see the current racecar there, but I'm not sure if it was, maybe they did the "F2003 with this years livery" trick again. It did have the weird front wing they have nowadays. Naturally they also had a gift shop, where you could buy many overpriced items (like a Ferrari coffee mug, yours for just 15€), but also real collector's items like MS's steering wheel from the Japan 2005 race (only 48k€). Afterwards, and after a bit of driving around and searching, I heard the unmistakable sound of an F1 car. Turns out I was driving on a road parallel to the Fiorano track, so I immediately stopped and went over to watch. As did the rest of the town. Pictures turned out to be a bit crappy, since it was raining, and the track was a LONG way from the road, etc etc. But from what I gather they were testing new aero bits (look at the flappy thingy on the sidepod) Picture time : ![]() The famous prancing horse sign at the entrance ![]() Lots and lots of F1 cars naturally, even including this year's car! ![]() ![]() 1981 Gilles Villeneuve Car ![]() 1987 turbo F1 car with insane power from a 1.5l engine ![]() 612 Scaglietti ![]() Best interior evah! ![]() F360 engine bay ![]() The beautiful F40 ![]() ![]() Look at the weird placement of the exhausts! ![]() Enzo ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() F1 car testing on the track Lemme know what you think. | |

| so you can't see all the flappy bits very well. I thought they did this on purpose to make it harder for all the spy photographers (and me) to see what shape the car will be. Either that or they finally ran out of red paint edit : here's a link to all the images, far too many to post here Last edited by NooDle; June 18th, 2008 at 10:26 AM.. | |

| I think it might actually be the new A1 GP car that Ferrari are building, I can't find any pics of it but that was in an all black livery, it also just looks like an old F1 car.
