Jet scooter in Vancouver

Spotted this a few weeks ago at a prime downtown location at night. Rode up with some friends to a Starbucks in the middle of nowhere outside of the city, saw this thing, owner fired it up and blew us all away. Rode back to the city, late at night, busiest section of downtown, and here the thing is. Owner starts it up again, completely stopping traffic and causing a mob of barstars, drunks, yuppies, cops and bikers to crowd around and watch.

Is it powered by the thrust or is the turbine powering a shaft that is driving the wheel?

Pure thrust.

I think he can run on pretty much any diesel or kerosine...
