It's a great picture, but it would have been much better if the person whiting out the number plate wouldn't have covered half of the important part of the pic.

Do they think "If I post this image on teh interwebs, people will see my license plate, look up where i live and rape me!"

I have no problem with someone whiting out the number plate of his (or any) car on a picture. In this case though, it's done very badly, especially as the whited area is near the one of interest. I've whited out number plates as well, but it's like a one minute job with Paint and looks perfect.

The thing is that it's done in an instant. Here's one of my car. I used Microsoft Paint and one minute of my lifetime:
