Peugeot is a more than a century old firm that is still family owned. The Peugeot family is known to be very conservative and to advance only a step after another one . They know what to put into production and what not.

Oh, I understand... They won't put it into production because it will suffer from the "Phaeton" syndrome, a.k.a. badge snobbery killing off sales.

Phaeton = Passat * 120%.

Citroen Peugeot RC = nothing else we've ever seen before (except maybe R8? But that's not a bad idol)

Of course! I was thinking hard, trying to remeber to write RC, and not GT accidentally, and then I messed up the other part images/smilies/lol.gif

^OMG the blue car is CHINESE!? and LOL at the logo! Never seen it before in China!

*Puts on cone shaped hat in shame

BTW, the word "Xiao Ya' means 'Small tooth", or "Young shoot (plant)" depending what the chinese words really are are.

Wow, I didn't expect Santana to attend an international event like Paris. Their current lineup consists essentially of 3 models: the 300/350 pictured by Correspondent75, which is basically a rebadged 1st gen Suzuki Vitara, the Anibal, which is basically a rebadged Land Rover with an Iveco engine, and the Suzuki Jimny, which is... well, a Suzuki.

Out of the three models, the most successful is probably the Anibal, if only because they make a military version for the Spanish, Italian and Czech armies, but as civil vehicles go, they're mostly irrelevant, so I don't know what they were doing in Paris.

Also, it's sad to see Matra reduced to building electric golf carts, but as the French would say, "c'est la vie".

LOL at the Chinese badge. That's worthy of a motivator for the Funny Pictures thread images/smilies/smile.gif

^^
See no malice in this ; It' s just that makers choose for their grille something that evoques strength , courage, beauty like an animal ( jaguar , lion, etc...) or a geometrical figure ( ring , chevrons , etc...) and not the jovial face of an average bloke .

Back to pictures : my little added value compared to what you see on other site is that i search on every corner of that huge show .

I can bring you some american muscles : to begin with a ford mustang

http://images1.hiboox.com/images/4108/3f95ca33deb354a584753126335d5db1.jpg

the same on other angles :

There is a second hand cars hall in the show and i hadn't big expectations to see interesting cars in this, until i saw the cars from an US cars importater :

http://images4.hiboox.com/images/4208/d46a56e176e621cde45a493670c1e7f1.jpg
^^ on the trucks there are stickers " je roule au bioéthanol " = " i run on bioethanol"

http://images2.hiboox.com/images/4208/e129a3569aed13b47eb43bde55966e2a.jpg

http://images2.hiboox.com/images/4208/c190810fa31ae581313d452562ce4d08.jpg

And the best to come :

Look at the panel : "trop tard, vendu" = "too late, sold" and the price 75.000€
http://images2.hiboox.com/images/4208/eb177a26d12a13db79bf7895eaffe5b4.jpg

http://images2.hiboox.com/images/4208/ae9c8d1d083343062ad92460df431def.jpg

Look at the size of the GT40 compared with the Hummer side by side :

In case you are interested , it will cost you 220.000 €

This California is on the stand of the Bolloré Group : for those who don't know , Bolloré is a french giant conglomérat that jumps on the bandwagon of electric cars.
