arrr no - people think the e-type is gorgeous because it is gorgeous, likewise rover - people say it's crap because it is crap... nothing at to do with what JC says

if we stuck a GT-R badge on the e-type would you like it more? we could paint the bonnet black too images/smilies/tongue.gif (of course that would be a travesty, and I'd have to shoot myself after I did it)

Except for the Ricer in him, Jason is right and has got taste, this E-type is nothing special. I would go for the cash too, or give me the car and I'll sell it right away, and buy a pretty car.

The body is too narrow (?) compared with the rideheight. The rear is too simple, and omg look at this, how ugly can you make a car, it's HIDEOUS!!

And I agree with you too, people say what JC says, I like the Rovers, don't know about reliability but I would have driven one for sure, the interior is very very nice, and the styling from the outside is nothing bad either.

thanks josty, i cant wait to see andrew hui's comment in a few hours when he tries to me the e type sound like a god.

rovers are nice cars, but everyone that watchs top gear immeditatly thinks its a pos. like the 75 is a very nice car.

u can see from the photo how bland and plain it is. TBH it looks like a shoe doesnt it? specially from the side its so flat, the front and back is boring ass too.

u gimme one, i'll go sell it striaght away.

The E-type is the most beautiful car ever made. There is no doubt about it, even Enzo Ferrari claimed that the Jaguar E-type is/was the most beutiful car ever. It's design is unique, there is not a single line out of place (like on a beutiful girl) every line flows perfectly with every other line in it's design. It caused a absolute sensation when it was launched too, everyone was stunned by the beauty, that has never happened since. I however, am a huge fan of the lowdrag coupes...

It's not just the beuty about it. When it came out it was really quick, specially as it costed just £2000, so it was affordable too. It was also technologically superior to most other cars because of the double wishbone suspension and four wheel disc brakes. It also has racing pedigree in spades, what more can you want?

And like Jeremy says; "Park it on the street, and nobody's gonna gob on it..."

This car is not a replica, but one of the very few remaining original Lowdrag E-types (Registration "CUT 7")...

WRONG images/smilies/tongue.gif

The front wheelarches are too big, they lean too much to the outside.
The longshaped body doesn't fit the 'muscular' back wheelarches.
The bonnet is too long, and too boring, no lines at all, he must have been out of ideas.

No, have a look at almost any other car from that era and you see they are all shaped that way.
The body is perfect, no other words for it than that...
The bonnet is so long because of the straight six which is placed behind the front axle for perfect weight distribution. And the designer kept the lines simple and beutiful, or you must check your eyes, you can clearly see the wheelarchlines and a lovely shaped muscly bulge in the middle with a vent on each side of it...

I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean - surely saying something is "just a sports car" is hardly a criticism, in fact it's a compliment where I'm from
