Fiat Chrysler's 5-year plan sees expansion of Jeep, Maserati, Alfa

Fiat Chrysler Auto Group plan that makes little mention of Fiat Chrysler!

    Sergio Marchionne swansong.

Alfa Romeo plans to revive its 8C supercar and GTV sports car.

Maserati will add a midsize SUV and an Alfieri coupe/cabrio to its product lineup as part of its plan to double vehicle sales to 100,000 by 2022.

The Alfieri sports car, a rival to Porsche's 911, was first revealed at the 2014 Geneva auto show but has faced delays ever since. The full-electric Alfieri coupe will reach a maximum speed of more than 300 kph (186 mph).

Hmm, that gives me about 4 years to win the lottery. Should be doable?

When has a 5 year plan ever failed! Fortunately, Jeep and RAM are keeping FCA afloat while they figure out what to do with their other brands. Killing off FIAT US would be a good move, if they need a small car in the North American market they can slap a Dodge badge on a future FIAT.

They now are pretty much debt free and the value of FCA has increased massively, double what it was a year ago

Where is Lancia in this 5 year plan? Does no mention mean the death of the brand?

Let's be honest, Lancia is essentially dead already. Someone just needs to let it die in peace, wait ten years, and then resurrect it as a specialty sports brand and go dirt racing.

                        A gulag.

We aren't living in the 20s when the market could justify having a sub luxury brand squeezed next to other sub luxury brands. Alfa is better used for Lancia's market.

Sad day, end of an era, hope Marchionne gets well.

Fiat Chrysler picks Mike Manley to succeed ill Marchionne as CEO

Fiat Chrysler (FCA) boss Sergio Marchionne is to be replaced permanently at the helm of the global carmaker as well as Ferrari, after suffering serious complications from surgery

Sadly, he died. He had already put his FIAT related affairs in order and was planning on leaving next year. It is still sad to see him go, not many CEOs had his frank style.
