Unveiled: Kalashnikov CV-1 electric car

Honestly, I kind of like it. If they were pricing them to undercut Tesla and the Nissan Leaf, I would have to consider one. The looks are polarizing, but I bet the equipment inside is fairly basic, which I appreciate. It's Russian, so don't look too closely at the panel gaps or craftsmanship (so, on-par with Tesla).

Apparently, the body is a just a stand-in to prototype the drivetrain.

it comes pre-chavved!

Maybe because they put the drive train in the body of a Moskvich Combi?

Not a bad idea to begin with. I just want a big knob on my e car that has "power" and "range" on it, and that I can modulate this myself.
So 100hp but 400 mile range (if needed) or 500hp and 100 mile range.

just don't press in the pedal that much?
