Top 25 Members' Cars/Motorcycles of Final Gear 2011 - Nomination

Logume1881's BMW 2002 is quite cool.
And Komeuppance's Starion is just awesome. Plus, Jeremy Clarkson did say it's the best car in the world :)

Thanks for the nod, and kind words!!

Kip and MXM ofc for running (repairing) Lotus Sevens (Replicas)!

Not posted in Post Your Car (MXM's was until the snafu happened), but verified by videos and pics on IRC ;)

Here is at least MXM:

As well, my Failbiza, for being a constant source of amusement for the dear people on IRC (and beating DanRom on the Nordschleife ;) )

Speaking of constant sources of amusement: I nominate altoid's Crapry.

The Failbiza rules, too.

Pffft....I guess I might as well:

1997 Audi S8 w. 6-speed manual gearbox
4.2L V8 340hp/410nm
0-100km/h 6.0 seconds (some sources say as low as 5.4sec for the facelifted model)

I'll need a link.

Nuts. I'm not sure he's on the forums enough to have posted a car thread. Never mind (if so).

- goes to look

Nominating will end around 10 PM PST tonight. If I missed something make it known before then.

Qualifying voting has now begun. No more nominations will be accepted. See OP for instructions on how to vote.

Just wondering... what is the advantage of truncating the list of 57 nominees to 25, and then voting for them again??

-Robert

The idea is to focus the votes. Scoring a list of 57 cars is tedious. It's easier to vote this way.

Meh, I think not-road-legal racecars and bikes have no place in this vote for "top car" *shrug*

Too bad there isn't an option for hidden poll results!! Would make tallying easier. Maybe the admins have the option in this software.

-Robert

I asked Viper about that, there is no way to have a poll that will only allow votes from those with 150 or more posts.

Just so I understand the procedure. We're going to have a poll, of all 57 cars, that allows multiple choices and each one of us are going to choose 25 cars that we think should be represented in the official voting thread?

No. I updated the first post with the instructions.
