Some rust proofing for the next winter... as you can see one of the mounts for the fender has rusted away and theres a hole up into the car :(

That place between fender and body is extremely typical rust spot for any old car. Leaves and other shit go through the water channels and get jammed there between the fender and the body and over time turn to mould which keeps the place wet 24/7, except winter when it's constantly freezing and then melting and freezing again, which might cause some deformation to panels and breaking the paint etc. My 406 and MX5 had exactly the same problem, but luckily I did it early enough with the Mazda and the Peugeot only had a bubbling paint.

Btw, the pictures on your previous post were much nicer looking than those on your last post :p

update:

noticed my left rear wheel bearing is gone the other day...
also replaced all steering components after the steering box. need an aligment.. but also need both wheel bearings in the front too, now... ordered all the wheel bearings needed and gonna get them installed before i get the alignment done.

I also ordered 4 new summer tyres! 4x 225/45/17 All new Bridgestone POTENZA S001..... Ferrari 458 Italia comes with them as standard :p

Excellent wienermobile, congrats on the purchase.

update....

So this weekend i replaced the left rear wheel bearing. helluva job!.. then the left rear brake pipe got a hole in it... rustyness.... replaced that yesterday so now ive got brakes again! yet to do the front wheel bearings, after that im ready for an alignment hopefully....

Tada! took that today.. also waxed it after that photo... i have 15mm spacers which usually is in the rears but are off in these photos, and also getting 10mm spacers for the fronts.

also ordered new thermostat today and replacing it this weekend since the old one is stuck open making the engine never to get to proper operating temp.

recently;
replaced both front wheel bearings, left rear wheel bearing, left rear brake pipe, new tyres, idler arm, center tie rod, tie rods, front & rear stabilizer links, rear subframe bushings. blablabla...

Isn't it normal to measure all 4 wheels when doing an alignment? i went to get my lowering and wheels "legal" today and it didn't get through because of an uncomplete alignment... missing the rear wheel measure numbers... i know the rear wheel on the e34 can't be aligned or done much with, so i didn't think it would matter... Wen't back to the shop that did the alignment and he said they don't usually measure the rear wheel, only on request.. i thought this was normal.

imo, it seems fucking silly that i need to get a new alignment just to get the rear wheel alignment measures and pay full new price on the alignment... (again!!)

im so fuuuuucking frustrated now.. >.<

It's buearocracy. On cars with "normal" suspension - aka anything that isn't multilink, the rear wheels don't need any alignment, unless the car has been hit. And since the e34 has a semi-trailing arm rear suspension, there's nothing to align.

Finallly got around to buying some new tinted tails, this really transformed the rear end for me! <3
